I trained in piano technology at North Bennet Street School after more than twenty years working as an electronics engineer. That combination is useful when a fault could be in the keys, pedals, wiring, sound or electronics.

What is your piano doing?
I work on Yamaha Clavinova and Arius, Roland, Kawai, Casio and other digital pianos. Hybrid and silent systems depend on the model and fault. I can often diagnose the problem at home; some repairs need parts or a return visit.
- Dead, sticking, clicking or broken keys.
- A key playing too loudly, too quietly or at uneven volume.
- Pedals not working or responding intermittently.
- No sound, distorted speakers or intermittent audio.
- Faulty headphone sockets or a broken plug tip inside the jack.
- Power faults or a piano that will not switch on.
Clear pricing
Diagnosis £60. First-visit repair £120 total.
The £60 diagnostic charge is included in the £120 total when I can repair the piano during that appointment. Parts are extra. If the fault needs ordered parts, a second visit or more extensive work, I will explain the options and quote before going ahead.

A repair completed on that first visit is £120 total labour, plus any parts. Larger jobs are quoted separately.
